Ramblin’ Man Inc. – Terms and Conditions
It is expected that the customer has read, understood, and agrees to the following terms and conditions at the time of booking an appointment. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us for clarification before booking.
Definitions
- “Ramblin’ Man”, “we”, “us”, “our”: Refers to Ramblin’ Man Inc.
- “Owner”, “Customer”: The individual(s) hiring Ramblin’ Man Inc. to perform work on their recreational vehicle (RV).
- “Policy Provider”, “Provider”, “Company”, “Companies”: Refers to the entity responsible for paying valid warranty claims. This may include a dealer, manufacturer, or extended warranty service company.
General Terms
- Appointment Scheduling:
Appointments will be booked only after the completion of our Service Request Form online, or after the required information has been shared via email or phone between Ramblin’ Man and the customer or provider.
- Payment for Upgrades (Brakes/Suspension):
When requesting upgrades on trailer brakes or suspension, the customer is responsible for paying the parts invoice at least four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled service, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Payment for labor is due upon completion of the service.
If the appointment is solely for quoting significant future work, that work will not be charged during the initial visit.
- Travel Fees:
Travel fees may apply for each service visit. A travel call fee is assessed for trips over 50 miles from our current location. This fee may be waived for a return visit to complete a prior service, at our discretion.
- Customer Presence and Site Preparation:
The customer, or a designated representative, must be present at the start of the service appointment. Customers are required to:
- Retract slides positioned over wheels.
- Remove items leaning on or attached to the trailer.
- Unlock access to the leveling system (if applicable).
- Ensure the surrounding area is clear and safe for raising and lowering the RV without obstruction or damage.
- Gone on Arrival (GOA) Fee:
A time and location for service will be established when booking. If the customer is not present within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, a GOA fee equal to 50% of one hour of labor, plus the service call fee, will be applied. This fee must be paid before rebooking. The current minimum charge is $150.
- Special-Order Parts:
All special-order parts are non-refundable once ordered.
Parts and Labor Warranties
- Parts Warranty:
Parts warranties are provided directly by the manufacturer or supplier. Terms and durations vary by brand.
- Labor Warranty:
Labor is warranted for 90 days from the date of service. The following exclusions apply:
- Customer-Supplied Parts: No labor warranty is offered for parts provided by the customer, as we cannot verify sourcing or handling prior to installation. Labor time and fees remain due regardless of part performance.
- Substitution of Provider: If you believe a return visit is warranted within the 90-day period and Ramblin’ Man is unable to provide service, please contact us to discuss using an alternate service provider. Both parties must agree upon the substitute provider before any warranty work proceeds.
Manufacturer, Dealer, or Extended Warranty Billing
Ramblin’ Man Inc. strives to help customers minimize financial burden when possible. We will bill the warranty provider directly for covered repairs when feasible.
However, we reserve the right to bill the customer for the full invoiced amount and provide documentation for the customer to seek reimbursement independently. Ramblin’ Man Inc. cannot guarantee reimbursement from any third-party provider.
If Ramblin’ Man Bills the Provider:
- The customer must first contact their provider to:
- Verify the service process and obtain pre-authorization (if required).
- Determine or confirm any deductible.
- Determine whether diagnostic time is covered (we will assume it is not unless confirmed).
- Understand exclusions within their policy.
- The customer must provide all required information as requested on the Service Request Form.
Note: Photos of warranty cards, stickers, or contracts may not be sufficient.
- The customer remains responsible for the entire unpaid portion of the invoice if warranty coverage excludes service call fees, diagnostic time, part shipping, and/or taxes.
- At the time of service, the customer must pay any of the following amounts not covered by their provider:
- Service Call Fee
- Labor for diagnosis (if not covered)
- Deductible
